As career coaches, we were featured in the Education Life section of the NY Times last year, in an article called “Career Coaching the Playdate Generation” By Laura Pappano.
While the article did not get everything right, the issues it highlights of new graduates facing high levels of under employment and temporary employment, the importance of internships, and the value of having a coach providing practical and individually focused guidance is as relevant today as it was last year at this time.

Ms. Hay reminds her charges that “they are 90 percent responsible” for the content of the interview. “It doesn’t matter what the interviewer asks,” she said. “A young person has to know how to project who they are.”
